A Dream Within A Dream
Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow--
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand--
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep--while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
All About Me.

Peanut Butter & Jelly
Now
It was the glint of the Ocean that sparkled and shined.
The Sun constantly calling us down from on high.
this the Summer of Nine made us both so alive;
We took advantage of Days and we danced around Time.
So you were right all along-
(You know you're never wrong)
Because now that I dig you, my head's stuck in that Song;
How my speakers, which quiver and crash like a gong.
Bring me windows and wonders and that pink wine so strong.
Now I watch that Sun shimmer, though it's long since been gone.
Now I smile and cry, although nothing is wrong.
How I miss you, I miss you.
But I wanted to tell you I have something to say;
When you need to go home I will help light your way.
The rainbows, the blues
Yellow, green, and dull grey-
This island would keep you.But he can't make you stay.
Still now, your whole Life, I'll be here for the rest of it.
I'll always be here to help you make the best of it.
Now I watch the Sun shimmer on the back of my eyes,
And I smile, cause I know
Everything is alright.
